Cable Burster X 300 C renews Sewer House Connection
In Brittnau, Canton Aargau, Switzerlandthe cable burster TERRA-EXTRACTOR X 300 C was used to renovate an old sewer house connections.
The old pipe from clayware had been replaced by new screwable short pipe modules from HDPE. The TERRA-EXTRACTOR X 300 C has a maximum pulling force of 30 tonnes (33 UStonnes, 66'000 lbs). It bursts old pipes from cast iron, concrete, steel or clayware and pulls in new HDPE pipes, all in one simultaneous operation.
The TERRA-EXTRACTOR X 300 C is a innovative cable burster to replace old pipes in diameters from ø 34 - 220 mm (ø 1.5" - 8.6"). Lengths up to 120 m (400 ft) are possible. With a pullback force of 300 kN (30 tonnes, 33 UStonnes, 66'000 lbs) it renews old pipes from cast iron, steel, clayware or PE/PVC.The new HDPE pipes have outer diameters of 63 - 180 mm (2.5" - 7"). Special pulling cables ø 22 mm (0.86") and ø 14 mm (0.55") allow the renewal of old pipes with smallest diameters. The X 300 C can be dismounted and installed even in a cellar.
The cable burster X 300 C has been dismounted and carried into a cellar. Now it is re-assembled again.
The pulling cable is pulled through the old pipe.
The burst head is slid over the cable. Then the cable coupling is assembled.
The burst head OD 220 mm (8.6") has inner threads. The first screwable short pipe is screwed into the burst head.
The burst head and the first short pipe OD 180 mm (7") lay on the bottom of the manhole. They are ready to be pulled in. As soon as the first pipe is vanished into the old pipe, the next short pipe is screwed on.
The burst head arrives in the cellar. It is disassembled.
